David Fehr Tournament

The Calgary Knights Lacrosse Association is proud to co-host the 2026 David Fehr Festival in partnership with CDLA — an annual U7 & U9 lacrosse event that celebrates the hard work, growth, and achievements of young athletes throughout the season while honouring the legacy of David Fehr, a passionate advocate for lacrosse in Alberta.

Who was David Fehr?
David Fehr was deeply committed to sport and believed in its power to shape character, build resilience, and lay the foundation for future success. He dedicated himself to continually improving the game for players of all ages, and his vision helped elevate lacrosse to new heights across the province. In 2003, he founded the Raiders Jr. A Lacrosse Club and played a key role in putting Alberta on the national lacrosse map.  David Fehr’s coaching philosophy was simple yet powerful; “All skills to all players.” He believed that every athlete develops at their own pace, and that a coach’s greatest accomplishment is helping each player reach their full potential.

The David Fehr Festival is taking place June 13-14, 2026, at the Calgary Soccer Centre - Annex building.

Each team will play two games per day, finishing off with a medal ceremony to recognize the effort and growth of every player throughout the season.
